Cruisebook Source is the business website for Bluewater Publishing, the nation's premier provider of U.S. Navy and USMC Cruisebooks. Cruisebooks are memorabilia for U.S. Navy Sailors to look back on their previous deployments.
I took it upon myself to redesign the Cruisebook Source website after finding myself frustrated with the old site's functionality. The former site was a Wix template with poor mobile UX, which was alarming considering the analytics showing 67% of users accessed via a mobile device. I took it upon myself to create a new site in place of the old.
The website was built with React and vanilla JavaScript with a mobile-first design principle. Users can reach out via the contact form, which sends an email directly to customer support, or the "Request a Quote" form, which puts them in contact with a representative about producing a book.
The majority of cruisebooks published from 2022 to present are designed by myself.
